WILLMAR -- After Kristin Kahle tossed a four-hitter in Ridgewater's 9-1 win over Minnesota West on Saturday, Jazmin Peterson did her one better and hurled a two-hit shutout as the Lady Warriors won 2-0 to complete an MCAC Southern Division sweep.
The Lady Warriors now stand 24-10 heading into Frioday's state tournament in St. Cloud. The pairings are expected to be announced Tuesday.
Kahle walked none and struck out five in a game the Lady Warriors invoked the eight-run rule after five innings.
Brandi Bodin slugged a solo homer over the left-field fence in the first inning.
The Lady Warriors tacked on four more runs in the third, highlighted by Jodi Merritt's two-run double. Brooke Henderson had a two-out, run-scoring double in a four-run fifth.

In Game 2, Peterson walked two and fanned five in her complete-game win.
The Lady Warriors got a run-scoring, two-out double by Tiffany Volk in the second inning.
Volk against doubled in the fifth and scored on a soft single over third base by Emily Roelike in the fifth.
The Lady Warriors finished in a tie for second in the division with Roch-ester with 18-6 records.
