WILLMAR — The Ridgewater College volleyball team ran into the No. 1 team in NJCAA Division III on Saturday.
And it was those top-ranked Rochester Technical & Community College Yellowjackets who came up on top.
Rochester beat Ridgewater 25-17, 25-18, 25-21.
“We came in against No. 1-ranked Rochester for a tough game and we unfortunately couldn’t get a handle on our errors,” Ridgewater head coach Amanda Bohlsen said. “We look toward practice Monday where we can get back on the court to correct the errors and finish the season strong.”
Morgan Mandel led the Warriors with 10 kills. She’s a sophomore captain from Annandale. Madison Leyendecker, a first-year setter from Paynesville, had 17 set assists, four kills and seven digs. Tayler Schmidt, a first-year defensive specialist from Paynesville, had eight digs.
