College volleyball: Ridgewater 2-2 at NDSCS tourney

Ridgewater went 2-2 in the North Dakota State College of Science Tournament over the weekend, winning twice on Friday and losing twice on Saturday.
Jen Puncochar racked up 28 kills, 12 ace serves, four ace blocks and 29 digs over the four matches.
Brenna Olsen collected 40 kills and eight ace blocks, and Kaitlyn Sterner had five ace serves and 90 set assists.
“This tournament came at a great time for us as an opportunity for us to improve as a team and as positional players,” Warriors’ head coach Joe Sussenguth said. “With each opponent being a Division II opponent, we learned how to be assertive and aggressive both offensively and defensively.  This team is still learning how to compete at a high level consistently, but this weekend provided us that opportunity and we’ve now opened that door.”
