WILLMAR - In its quest to stay in the MCAC Southern Division race, the Ridgewater volleyball once again handled its business efficiently, putting down Western Technical in three games on Friday at Ridgewater College.
The Warriors won 25-16, 25-11 and 25-8.
“Once we became acclimated with Western Tech’s style of play, we were able to settle in both offensively and defensively,” said Warriors head coach Joe Sussenguth. “It’s fun to watch our offense in full gear and we’ve shown lately we can attack from antennae to antennae effectively.”
The Warriors (14-4) entered the match with a 6-2 mark in the Southern Division, trailing Rochester (7-0) and St. Cloud Technical (7-0).
Natalie Feldhake led the Warriors with 10 kills and a pair of solo blocks.

Brenna Olsen had eight kills and Heidi Leiding had seven.
Kaitlyn Sterner finished with 28 set assists and she served two aces, and Lexie Skoglund also served two aces and had a team-high 14 digs.
The Warriors have another Southern Division match against Minnesota State at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before playing in the Catawba Invitational in Hickory, N.C., next weekend.
“ We need to maintain our focus as we push for a playoff spot and our opponents become tougher starting on Wednesday,” Sussenguth said.
