ROCHESTER -- Ridgewater opened its MCAC schedule by sweeping Rochester 27-25, 25-20, 25-17 Friday.
The Lady Warriors (1-0, 4-1) rallied in the first game after trailing 24-22.
"We fought off a couple of set points (in the first game) and that was awesome," said Ridgewater coach Joe Sussenguth. "And if you could do that on the road against a team like Rochester that's great."
Ridgewater had Brianna Jacobson pile up 10 kills with Emily Roelike following with nine and Karie Blommel eight.
"The attack was balanced and that's always great to see, but hopefully we can caught down on the extra swings," said Sussenguth, whose team made 14 hitting errors. "But to get a good win like this on the road, I couldn't be any happier especially pulling off a sweep."

Darcie Listul directed the offense with her 34 assists and Jacobson added three ace blocks. Blommel had 20 digs to help ignite the Ridgewater defense.
