College volleyball: Warriors blank Minn. West

WORTHINGTON - The Ridgewater volleyball team ended a lone stretch of road games with a solid 3-0 victory over Minnesota West on Wednesday.
The Warriors never let the Bluejays in the match, winning 25-9, 25-10 and 25-16.
“We’ve played alot of matches on the road, so it was good to end this road trip with a convincing win,” head coach Joe Sussenguth said of the Warriors’ five-match road stretch. “We were able to dictate play both offensively and defensively and didn’t make too many errors.”
Brenna Olsen led a balanced Warriors attack with nine kills. Natalie Feldhake had eight kills, Baylie Kubesh had seven and Hailey Leiding had six.
Leiding also had four solo blocks and Feldhake turned back two shots at the net.
Kubesh, Kaitlyn Sterner, Feldhake and Alexis Peters all had three service aces, and Sterner finished with 30 set assists.
The Warriors are 7-3 overall but fell out of the NJCAA Division III top 10. They’ll be looking to play their way back up with four matches on Friday and Saturday in the Ridgewater Invitational.
“It will only benefit this team to get more match experience together and we look forward to playing more this weekend,” Sussenguth said.
