College volleyball: Warriors win in four

FERGUS FALLS -- The Ridgewater volleyball team took a hit in game one but recovered and took over an MCAC match against M State-Fergus Falls, winning in four games on Wednesday night.

FERGUS FALLS - The Ridgewater volleyball team took a hit in game one but recovered and took over an MCAC match against M State-Fergus Falls, winning in four games on Wednesday night.
The Warriors won 20-25, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-23.
Freshman Hailey Leiding had a break-out game, finishing with 15 kills and a .414 hitting percentage. She also had a solo block.
“After a challenging start, we became the agressor and played assertive volleyball,” said Ridgewater head coach Joe Sussenguth. “Our defense responded very well, making plays in the front and back row.”
The Warriors made just 12 hitting errors in 114 attacks (.298 hitting), and they had eight solo blocks and 10 block assists.
The Warriors play their fourth straight road match at St. Cloud Technical College on Wednesday.
