ELLSWORTH, Iowa -- The Ridgewater Warriors split a pair of junior college wrestling matches Saturday at the Ellsworth Duals.
Ridgewater topped Ellsworth 28-22, then lost to a strong Labatte (Kansas) team 39-3.
Ridgewater is now 3-4.
"I thought we wrestled well against two very good teams," said Ridgewater coach Tom Beyer.
Ridgewater is at Itasca on Thursday.

Ridgewater 28, Ellsworth 22
After giving up a forfeit to open the match, Ridgewater tied it with a pin from Jake Patnode at 125. Tyler Stemper followed with a decision at 141 to give the Warriors a 9-6 lead.
Ellsworth regained a 13-9 lead with a major and a decison.
Trent Molacek pulled the Warriors into a 13-13 deadlock with a major decision at 165 and Ellsworth snatched the lead right back with a fall at 174.
Peter Christians then notched a pin for the Warriors at 184 and Greg Arnt received a forfeit at 197 to seal the win.
