College Wrestling: Ridgewater's Peralta, Krueger still alive in consolation at nationals

SPOKANE, WASH. -- The Ridgewater College Warriors got two wrestler sthrough to the second day of the NJCAA National Tournament held at the Spokane Convention Center.

SPOKANE, WASH. -- The Ridgewater College Warriors got two wrestler sthrough to the second day of the NJCAA National Tournament held at the Spokane Convention Center.

Travis Peralta at 174 pounds reached the quarterfinals before losing and will wrestle in the consolation bracket today.

At 165, Trevor Krueger is 3-1 and continues in the consolation bracket.

Five Warriors were eliminated on Friday: Lonny Booshu went 0-2 at 125 pounds; Nate Frederich finished 2-2 at 133 pounds; Javier Portilo finished 2-2 at 141 pounds; Mariano Portillo went 0-2 at 149; and Ryan Krause finished 2-2 at 157.
