BRAINERD — The Ridgewater College baseball team finally got its first game in Minnesota on Sunday, falling to Central Lakes College, 2-1.
The Warriors were scheduled to play four games this weekend, but had three of them wiped out because of the weather, including Sunday’s second game, which was postponed because of snow.
Ridgewater (2-6) got a first-inning home run from Brad Bickmann for its only scoring. Bickmann is a freshman third baseman from Howard Lake. Jack Howard, the former Renville County West star, took the complete-game loss for the Warriors, scattering seven hits and allowing one earned run. He struck out one and walked none.
Ridgewater is scheduled to play a Minnesota College Athletic Conference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday against St. Cloud Technical & Community College at the St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex.
