FERGUS FALLS — The Ridgewater women’s basketball team broke a six-game losing streak with a 81-75 victory over Minnesota State-Fergus Falls on Wednesday.
It was the Warriors’ first victory since Dec. 10, a 70-58 victory at Itasca Community College.
Ashley Prahl and Abby Berskow, both first-year players from Willmar, led the way for Ridgewater. Prahl scored 35 points, shooting 14 of 21 (67%) from the field, including 5 of 9 from 3-point range. She also had 10 rebounds and three assists.
Berskow had 21 points and 11 assists. She was 7-for-13 from the field and 5 of 9 from 3-point range.

Ridgewater shot 50.9% (29 of 57), including 55.6% from 3-point range (15 of 27).
The Spartans were led by Jayna Gronewald, who had 30 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals. She played all 40 minutes.
MS-Fergus Falls’ head coach is Jodi Holleman, who was Ridgewater’s head coach for five seasons from 2015-2020.
Ridgewater next plays at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rochester Community & Technical College.
