SAUK CENTRE - The Montevideo boys team placed three runners among the top four and won the West Central Conference championship at the Greystone Golf Club on Tuesday.
Savannah Aanerud won the girls meet to lead Morris/Chokio-Alberta to victory in the girls championship.
Montevideo’s Kurt TeBeest won the boys meet in 17 minutes, 4.70 seconds. Teammate Zac Enevoldsen was second and the Thunder Hawks’ Jesse Croymans was fourth.
Benson/KMS’ Josh Bailey placed third and Jacob Webster was fifth to lead the Braves to a second-place finish.
Aanerud won in 16:15.16 and Montevideo’s Jamilah Carson was second, about nine seconds back. Thunder Hawk Claire Sulflow was third and Benson/KMS’ Ashley Just was fourth. BOLD/BLHS’ Jessica Senkyr was fifth.

The T-Hawks finished two points behind Morris/CA and Sauk Centre was third.

LQPV/DB girls, Canby boys capture Camden titles
CANBY - The Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd girls cross country team placed five runners among the top eight finishers to win the Camden Conference championship on Tuesday at the Canby Golf Course.
Willmar Community Christian School’s Ben Burgett won the boys indivdual championship in 16 minutes, 47.6 seconds and Community Christian placed third behind meet champion Canby and second-place LQPV/DB, which got a second-place finish from Keiser Freetly. Community Christian’s Joshua Starr placed fourth and LQPV/DB’s John Wagner was fifth.
LQPV/DB’s Alaysia Freetly won in 15:19.8 and teammate Jordyn Sterud was second in 15:43.2. Sadie Thompson was fifth, Grace Hegland placed sixth and Sydney Bartunek was eighth.
