MONTEVIDEO - The Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd girls cross country team won the Montevideo Invitational on Tuesday at The Crossings Golf Course.
The Marshall boys team dominated the field to claim victory. Montevideo’s Kurt TeBeest was the individual winner in 16:48.85.
The LQPV/DB boys placed second and Montevideo was third.
The Montevideo girls placed second.
The Eagles’ Jordyn Sterud ran second in 20:46.22, behind only Ortonville’s Carissa Vanderwal, who finished in 20:37.04.
Montevideo’s Claire Sulflow placed third in 21:24.12, and Eagles runners placed fourth through sixth (Alex Sather, Kelly Kvaal and Sadie Thompson).
Marshall runners placed second through fifth and its five scorers ran in the top 10.
Montevideo’s Josh Tastad was sixth in 18:04.50 and LQPV/DB’s Mike Kvaal was seventh in 18:16.44.
