HOPKINS -- The Willmar boys took fourth-place at the Bauman-Rovn Boys Invitational on Saturday hosted by the Hopkins Royals.
The Cardinals were the only non-metro team in the 16-school field of Class AA schools.
Matt Weitzel finished in 23rd place in a time of 17:04. Mowlid Mohamed and Abdullahi Mohamud finished in the top 40.
The Willmar girls finished last on Friday.
The Cardinals were the only non-metro team in the 17-school meet that included many of the state's best Class AA teams.

The first runner to finish for Willmar was eighth-grader Tara Rudie, who finished 83rd.
