The Dawson-Boyd football team defeated Minneota 22-6 on Friday at Southwest Minnesota State to win the Section 5A championship.
The Blackjacks (11-0) will play Section 8A champ, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo, in the quarterfinals game on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. at Big Cat Stadium in Morris.
W-A-O defeated Fertile-Beltrami 27-22 to win the 8A title on Thursday.
Dawson-Boyd had lost to Minneota in the previous two section championship games.
