ALEXANDRIA — Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa could not erase a three-score deficit in a 20-14 loss to Parker Prairie during a Mid-State game on Saturday from Alexandria High School.

Trailing 20-0, the Jaguars got on the board in the second quarter when Tanner Shelton connected with Blaine Fischer on a 4-yard touchdown reception. Later in the quarter, Shelton scored on a 1-yard run.

The two teams went scoreless in the second half.

BBE hosts Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg at 7 p.m. Friday in Belgrade.
