Paynesville 12, YME 6

The Bulldogs won, at home, on a soaking wet evening in dramatic fashion.

At the Yellow Medicine East 32 yard line, on fourth and three and 15 seconds on the clock, Paynesville quarterback Jason Kampsen dropped back and threw a long pass to the front corner of the end zone where Justin Frank was able to snag the ball though well covered.

That broke a 6-6 tie and gave Paynesville a 3-1 record in the West Central South.

A Bobby Lecy 15-yard pass play to Dylan Lindstrom was good for a 6-0 YME lead at half. Kampsen's only carry of the game, a four-yard burst, tied the game 6-6 through three quarters.

Despite the rain and harsh wind, there was only one turnover.
