MARSHALL -- A BOLD defense that had been dominant all season met its match in Friday's 5A football section final.

The Wabasso run game gashed the Warriors all day, and the Rabbits clubbed BOLD 49-6 at Southwest Minnesota State.

The result was most surprising, as the Warrior defense had allowed just 69 points in its first 10 games. BOLD had been particularly dominant in the postseason, allowing just 110 total yards in its first two section games, both shutouts.

Austin Einerson had the lone highlight of the day for BOLD, rushing for a 32-yard touchdown in the first quarter, making it 7-6 Wabasso.

But it was all Rabbits after that, as they scored the game's final 42 points.
