FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Former Vikings defensive tackle John Randle has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Randle was in a group of seven greats voted to this year's class. The results were announced on Saturday in Florida as part of the Super Bowl week festivities.
Randle was a seven-time Pro Bowl pick who totaled 137.5 sacks during his career with Minnesota and Seattle. After 11 seasons with the Vikings, Randle played three years for the Seahawks.
Randle went undrafted out of a school then known as Texas A&I. He went on to record 10 or more sacks for eight straight seasons for the Vikings between 1992 and 1999.
