ST. PAUL - Ryan Thompson of Benson, Joel Bauman of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, Brandon Manderschied of Minnewaska and Dusty Caspers of BOLD all won Class A state individual wrestling titles on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center.
Thompson and Bauman each won their second straight state title. Thompson won at 145 pounds last season and 152 this year. Bauman won both os his crown at 189 pounds.
Manderschied was the 215-pound champion and Caspers earned the heavyweight crown.
Paynesville lost to Lake Crystal/Wellcome Memorial 33-25 in the Class A team consolation championship on Saturday.
