GLENWOOD -- Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City overcame a small halftime deficit by limiting Minnewaska to just four points in the second half as the Falcons remained unbeaten in the West Central South Conference after collecting a 58-37 win in girls basketball Monday.
The Falcons (11-0, 13-3) outscored the Lakers (3-9, 5-13) 29-4 in the second half after surrendering just two field goals in the first six minutes after halftime.
Miranda Hopp had 18 points, Lauren Kinzler 17 and Katie Knisley 14 to lead the Falcons' offense. Kinzler knocked down three 3-pointers and Hopp added nine rebounds and five steals.
Sarah Roering was the top scorer for the Lakers with eight points as Kaylee Jacobs, Sarah Faehnrich and Natalie Holte all added seven apiece.
