Girls Basketball: BBE reaches .500 mark in conference

BELGRADE -- Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa finished with a .500 record in the Central Minnesota Conference girls basketball race, winning its regular-season finale against Kimball 46-40 Friday.

Neither team shot the ball well. Kimball was held to 24 percent (16 of 68), while the Jaguars (7-7, 11-15) made 36 percent (18 of 50).

Shyan Kuefler scored 11 points to lead BBE. Lauren Anderson added 10 points and eight rebounds. Julie Hieserich dished out seven assists.

Tess Callander's nine points paced the Cubs. (4-10, 12-12).
