BENSON -- Benson got off to a slow start, but recovered nicely to defeat Lac qui Parle Valley 51-42 in West Central South Conference girls basketball on Tuesday.
The Eagles jumped out to a 12-2 lead before Benson fought back to lead 26-23 at halftime.
The Eagles trailed 41-40 with under five minutes left, but Benson pulled away.
Abby Fragodt contributed 13 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals for Benson. Emily Auch added 12 points.
Micaela Erickson had a game-high 17 points for the Eagles. Jen Kack pulled in 12 rebounds to go with six points.
