Girls basketball: Bluejays soar past Sting

PRINSBURG -- Karisa and Dani Wubben combined for 20 points in Central Minnesota Christian's 56-43 win over Yellow Medicine East on Thursday in Prinsburg.

PRINSBURG -- Karisa and Dani Wubben combined for 20 points in Central Minnesota Christian's 56-43 win over Yellow Medicine East on Thursday in Prinsburg.

The Bluejays improved to 1-1 after losing to BOLD in their season opener. It was YME's first game of the season.

CMCS held a slim 22-20 lead at halftime but were able to pull ahead with a 34-point second half.

Alexis Scott paced the Bluejays with 13 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and hit two 3-pointers.

Karisa Wubben also hit two 3's and had 5 assists. Jaci Swart scored 6 points on two 3-pointers, and had 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

Chyanne Sand led the Sting with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals.
