OLIVIA - BOLD handed Sauk Centre its second loss of the season, and its first in 12 games, to take the West Central Inter-Conference Championship 61-54 on Thursday in Olivia.
BOLD finished its regular season 22-3, with one of those losses coming at the hands of the Mainstreeters on Dec. 7.
The Warriors have now won 15 in a row.
Carly Sigurdson scored a game-high 21 points for BOLD and hit two of the Warriors’ three 3-pointers. She also had 4 assists.
Maggie Nagel collected 18 points and 5 rebounds, and Taylor Ebnet had 13 points, 4 assists and 3 steals for BOLD.
Macy Weller paced the Mainstreeters with 19 points, and Elizabeth Ellens added 14.
The No. 1-seed Warriors open the Section 3AA-North tournament 7 p.m. Saturday in Olivia against No. 8 Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial.
