SARTELL - The Willmar girls basketball team suffered its second consecutive defeat on Thursday night against Sartell-St. Stephen after a 15-0 start to the year.
The Cardinals struggled from the floor once again, falling 53-48 and dropping into second place in the Central Lakes Conference.
Willmar shot just 32.7 percent from the field and missed 13 of 25 free throw attempts on the night, which made the different in the contest.
Sadie Raitz had 11 points to led all Cardinals scorers. Megan Sieben and Alexis Winter did most of the damage for the Sabres, combining for 30 of the team's 53 points.
Willmar will have a chance to rebound with a Section 5AAA matchup with Zimmerman on Friday night at 6 p.m.

Kaitlyn Berreau hit five 3-pointers and had 17 points but Osakis downed Benson 57-41 on Thursday night.
The Braves trailed by just four points at halftime, but the Silverstreaks pulled away over the final 18 minutes.

Madisen Johansen had a game-best 20 points for Osakis.
Grace Lee just missed out on a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds for Benson.
