MADISON -- Micaela Erickson became the 22nd girl from the area to reach 1,500 career points as the senior guard ignited a 70-37 win for Lac qui Parle Valley over Paynesville Monday in a West Central South Conference girls basketball game.
Erickson finished with 18 points and now has 1,503 career points. She also piled up 10 rebounds, seven steals and six assists.
The Eagles' Jen Kack led all scorers with a career-high 21 points while teammates Kiona DuFrane and Jordan Halvorson both netted 10 points.
Andrea Schlangen had 12 points for Paynesville, which lost ground in the second half by making just four field goals and four free throws after trailing by 10 at halftime.
