Girls Basketball: Hancock dumps CMCS

PRINSBURG -- Twenty points apiece from Bree Holleman and Kendra Schmidgall helped Hancock win its seventh straight as the Owls tripped up Central Minnesota Christian 63-43 Thursday in a non-conference girls basketball game.

Torrid shooting in the first half allowed Hancock (11-2) to bring a comfortable 35-20 lead into halftime. The Owls shot just over 40 percent from three-point range with Schmidgall sinking three of the team's seven treys.

Schmidgall also hooked 10 rebounds and pocketed four steals.

Mattea Wieberdink had 16 points and Erin Erickson followed with 11 to lead the Bluejays (8-7).
