Girls Basketball: Litchfield's late 16-0 run sinks D-C

DASSEL -- Crystal Vossen keyed a 16-0 run from Litchfield to end the game as the Dragons rallied past Dassel-Cokato 52-46 Tuesday in a Wright County Conference girls basketball game.

The Chargers (0-4, 2-6) led 46-36 with six minutes remaining before Litchfield stormed back. Vossen netted all eight of her points in the game-ending run.

Greta Walsh led a balanced attack for Litchfield with 14 points with Kayla Sommerfeld adding 11 points. Litchfield trailed by five at halftime.

The Chargers were led by Courtney Smith and her 14 points.

Renville County West surged past Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in the second half to grab its first win in the Camden.

Morgan Elliot and Tabby Wittenberg led the comeback, from trailing 34-31 at halftime, to finish with 16 points apiece. Amber Jansen, who finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds, also was prominent in the rally. Elliot snapped up 11 rebounds.
