MORRIS -- Beka Schwendemann sank two free throws with 13 seconds left to seal Montevideo's 51-48 victory over Morris/Chokio-Alberta in West Central South girls basketball action Tuesday.
Morris/CA (10-3, 14-7), which dropped into a second-place tie with Benson in the conference standings, took its only lead of the second half at 48-47 with less than two minutes in the second half.
Brooke Tastad sank three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead Montevideo. Schwendemann added 12 points and six assists. Karrissa Larson pulled down 10 rebounds.
Nicole Gillespie's 12 points and seven rebounds paced the Tigers. Jenna Nelson followed with 10 points.

Neither team shot well from the floor -- Litchfield 22 percent and Annandale 26 percent, but the Cardinals made 20-of-27 free throws (74 percent) while the Dragons netted 12 of 24.
Shelbie Walsh scored 12 points and Courtney Euerle nine plus six rebounds. Kirsten Meyer nabbed seven rebounds, Abby Goraczkowski six.
