NEW ULM - Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart played better against Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Monday than the Mustangs had in two regular-season games.
But it wasn’t good enough to turn the tide and the Mustangs’ season came to an end, 53-40, in the Section 2A-North quarterfinals.
Michelle Melsha led BLHS with 14 points and Erika Zanoth had 8 points and a team-high 12 points.
MVL beat the Mustangs by a combined 37 points in two Tomahawk Conference games during the regular season.
