NEW LONDON -- Another solid performance from three-point range sparked New London-Spicer as the Wildcats won their eighth straight by getting 10 three-pointers in a 69-34 win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in a West Central North Conference girls basketball game Monday.
Justine Dammermann led the three-point barrage with five treys en route to scoring a game-high 15 points for the Wildcats (13-1, 21-2). Cassie Ziemer knocked down three more treys to net 12 points. Taylor Thompsen and Amanda Radel each made one 3-pointer.
Abbey Knisely anchored the inside game for NLS with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. Ziemer and Karli Wendlandt pulled down five rebounds each while Wendlandt also had 10 points and five steals.
Thompsen shelled out nine assists and Dammermann another five.
Jenna Langer had 14 points for LPGE as the Thunder (7-8, 8-13) had just four players score.
