Girls Basketball: NLS upends Morris/CA

NEW LONDON -- New London-Spicer started the second half on a 17-1 run and went on to defeat Morris/Chokio-Alberta 56-28 Saturday in a non-conference girls basketball game.

The Wildcats (16-2) cashed 16-of-23 free throws in the game and outrebounds the Tigers 42-27.

Taylor Thompsen led NLS with 16 points. Karli Wendlandt added 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Cassie Ziemer finished with 10 points and five assists.
