HANCOCK -- Hancock had a lead late against Parkers Prairie, the No. 3 team in Class A, Saturday, but the Panthers made the most of their trips to the free-throw line to stop the Owls, 67-59.
Hancock (15-3) rallied from a four-point halftime deficit for a short-lived lead with a couple of minutes left in the game, but Parkers Prairie quickly remedied that, and then made their shots from the charity stripe to salt away the victory. The Panthers were 21-of-26 from the line, while the Owls made just six trips overall.
Madison Dorn scored 18 points to lead Parkers Prairie (18-1). Sari Noga followed with 16 points and Micaela Noga had 14.
Bree Holleman and Kendra Schmidgall combined for 46 of Hancock's 59 points and 10 of the team's 12 three-point baskets. Holleman knocked down six treys and finished with 24 points. Schmidgall had four 3-pointers and 22 points.
