Girls Basketball Roundup Blackjacks clip Redwood Valley

REDWOOD FALLS -- Justine Lee scored over half of the Blackjacks' points with a 36-point performance to edge Redwood Valley 68-63 on Monday in the Redwood Valley Tournament.

Alisa Hill chipped in 19 points, sinking all five of Dawson-Boyd’s 3-pointers, and Kelly Husby had 11 points.
Lee added nine rebounds and seven assists.
The Blackjacks (6-1) play Sibley East today at 4:30 p.m. for the championship.

Emily Goerdt poured in a game high 23 points for Melrose as it crushed Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 58-25 in the first round of the Upsala Tournament on Monday night.
The Dutchmen were up by 23 points after the first half and never looked back to get the easy victory.
ACGC, who has lost six games in a row, could not get things going as it converted only nine field goals on the night.
The lone bright spot for the Falcons was Payton Wilner who dropped in 14 points.
Melrose plays Kimball in the title game today at 6:30 p.m. ACGC will play in the third-place game at 5 p.m. against Upsala.

Kaitlyn Olson scored 14 points and Paige Darrington grabbed 13 rebounds as Blue Earth Area topped Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 40-26 in the opening round of the Windom Area Tournament.
It was a cold night from the floor for the Fighting Saints, as they only connected on nine field goals.
Alison Krieger scored five points and snagged 11 rebounds in the loss. The next opponent for KMS will be Windom in the third-place game today at 6 p.m.
