MADISON - Kelsea Lund made two free throws with 40 seconds remaining to break a tie and help Lac qui Parle Valley beat Montevideo 48-45 on Friday.
The No. 3-seed Eagles advanced to the Section 3AA-North semifinals where they will face No. 2-seed YME 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Montevideo.
Lund and Kaitlin Connor each scored a game-high 15 points for LQPV, and Connor pulled down seven rebounds.
Alaysia Freetly added 11 points, five rebounds and eight assists.
Morgan Reidinger paced the T-Hawks with 14 points, including a bucket with 47 seconds left to tie it up 45-45.
Lund’s two free throws put LQPV up 47-45, and with 3.5 seconds left she hit another free throw to give the Eagles a three-point lead.

Chyanne Sand scored 25 points and had 18 rebounds and Makayla Dyrdahl scored 21 points to lead the Sting to a first-round victory in the Section 3AA playoffs on Friday in Granite Falls.
The Sting advanced to take on Lac qui Parle Valley at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Montevideo. The Sting defeated LQPV by seven points on Jan. 23.
Sand also had four blocks on Friday and Jordan Hinz finished with seven points and eight assists. Britanna Raddatz hit all three Sting 3-pointers and finished with 13 points and she also had seven steals.
The Sting are 18-7 and have won 14 of their last 15 games.

NLS finished 8-2 in the conference, a game ahead of Dassel-Cokato. Annandale finished 6-3.
The Wildcats, now 21-4, open the Section 6AA playoffs against Benson at 7 p.m. Thursday in New London.
Megan Thorson notched a double-double with a game-high 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ashlyn Geister finished with seven points and also had 11 boards. Fredrick also scored seven points.
