DAWSON -- Justine Lee posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Mari Lee scored a game-high 16 points Thursday to help Dawson-Boyd beat Montevideo 54-37 in a non-conference game.
Justine Lee also handed out 7 assists and pocketed 4 steals for the 2-0 Blackjacks. Kelly Husby added 7 rebounds and 3 steals while Alisa Hill made 4 of Dawson-Boyd's 17 steals.

A 13-point differential at the free-throw line helped Melrose hand Minnewaska its second straight one-point loss to open the season.

The Dutchmen, playing in their opener, were 18-for-30 at the charity stripe with five makes coming in the extra session were they outscored the Lakers 5-4. Minnewaska had possession for the final nine seconds of the game, but two shots failed to go through the basket.
