SPICER - How about those Litchfield Dragons? And Kalley Spreiter?
The Dragons have so much depth, their No. 5 golfer led them with a 38 on Thursday at Little Crow Golf Club.
Kalley Spreiter, a sophomore, shot her best Wright County Conference nine-hole round by eight strokes. She was one stroke better than the loop’s top stick, Meagan Rachey of Waconia, who has averaged 37 strokes per nine.
The Litchfield four-player 160 score walloped runner-up Waconia by 21 strokes. That increased the Dragons season lead to 105 strokes, realistically an insurmountable number with two nine-hole rounds remaining.
The Dragons are closing in on a sixth straight conference title with one playing date left - a double header on Tuesday at Albion Ridges hosted by Dassel-Cokato.

Litchfield has won five-straight conference crowns, which coach Bill Huhner said are only loop titles won by the school in girls golf.
Four Dragons rank top six in season average behind No. 1 Megan Rachey of Waconia: (2) Kennedy Sommerfield (3) Dani Elam (4) Hannah Norlin and Kelsey Wattenhofer (6). Spreiter moved up to 15th.
Lauren Dietz led the Wildcats with a 41, the day’s third-best score on the Oaks.
