GLENWOOD -- Minnewaska Area closed in on capturing its sixth straight West Central South Conference title on Tuesday, shooting a 163.

Brianna Janu was medalist with a 38, while Jenna Janu shot a 39, Sam Falk a 41 and Ellen Stensrud and Jamie Smith each had a 45.

Lizzie Ness of Benson/KMS was fourth with a 42 and Chloe Altmann of BOLD was fifth with a 44.

The Lakers shot 163 to 191 for Montevideo. Minnewaska has 63 points after winning each of the first seven meets. Montevideo is second with 55.

Peyton Miller shot a 43 and Amy Knutson a 44 to lead Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa to fourth place in the final conference meet at Greens of Howard Lake Golf Course. The Jaguars were also fourth in the final standings. Miller and Knutson earned All-Conference, ranking 6th and 7th, respectively.
