Girls Golf: Minnewaska holds 24-shot lead in 6AA

ST. CLOUD -- Minnewaska dominated the field on the first day of the Section 6AA girls golf meet Thursday at Territories Golf Club.

The Lakers shot a 305, which was 24 shots better than second-place Staples-Motley. The top four teams and the next eight lowest scores advance to Tuesday's final round.

Emily Roering of Minnewaska shot a 70 to lead the field. Sarah Roering was second with a 71. The Lakers had five of the top nine scores.

Paynesville finished 12th, with Jordan Spaulding pacing the team with a 105. Morris was incomplete, led by Keli Pry and Pamela Sax with 110 each.
