GIrls hockey: Cards drop season finale

FERGUS FALLS -- Fergus Falls' Hallie Sheridan scored at 7:53 in overtime to lift the Otters over the Willmar Cardinals 4-3 on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both squads.

Willmar took a 2-1 lead after the first period on goals by Shelby and Riley Schneider.
After the Otters went ahead in the second period, Willmar’s Anne Johnston tied it up at 10:59 in the second.
Cardinal goalie Johnika Wodash made 27 stops.
Willmar ends its regular season with a 3-7-1 Central Lakes Conference record, and an 11-12-2 overall mark.
The No. 4-seed Cardinals will host No. 5-seed St. Peter/LHTCU in the first round the Section 2A playoffs on Thursday.
