WILLMAR -- Austin's Carley Grunewald scored four straight goals -- two in the first period and two in the second -- and added five assists in an 11-0 win over the Morris/Benson Area Storm on Friday in the Willmar Invite at Cardinal Arena.
Austin plays Willmar, a 2-0 winner over Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato on Friday, in the second day of the invite today at 4 p.m. MBA plays L/DC in today's first game at 2 p.m.
Austin's Kennedy Thompson scored two goals and assisted on four, and Lea Semones scored two goals and assisted on two. Austin goalie Mara Overby faced just seven shots.
Goalie Shianne Wold faced 33 shots and turned back 26 for the Storm, who are playing this season with 17 players, 11 of whom are in 7th, 8th or 9th grade.
