SARTELL -- River Lakes couldn't get enough pucks to go in the net late in the third period in a 5-3 loss to Sartell/Sauk Rapids in Central Lakes Conference girls hockey action Friday.
The Stars (0-1, 1-1) cut the lead to 4-3 on Rachael Prozinski's second goal with 1:36 left to play, but SSR responded with a Kendra Rasmussen's second goal 12 seconds later.
River Lakes took a 2-1 lead early in the second period on Kelsey Athmann's goal at the 1:02 mark, but SSR tied the game a little over two minutes later, then took the lead for good on a power-play goal.
Steph Lucas had 29 saves for the Stars.
