HUTCHINSON -- Jessica Kooimann scored an unassisted breakaway goal 2:10 into overtime to lift River Lakes to a season-opening 7-6 victory over Hutchinson on Tuesday.
The Stars trailed 2-1 after the first period, but held a 5-4 advantage after the second period.
The Tigers rallied for the first two goals to take a 6-5 lead, but Kelsey Athmann scored a power-play goal with 12 seconds left to tie the game.
Steph Lucas had 19 saves for River Lakes.
