WILLMAR -- River Lakes scored three unanswered goals as the Stars skated past Willmar 3-1 Tuesday in a Central Lakes Conference girls hockey game.
Kayte Cole scored unassisted 4:43 into the game for Willmar, but Dominique Jungels shut out the Cardinals the remainder of the game while her teammates gave her enough offense to collect the win in the Stars' net.
Rachael Prozinki netted a power-play goal with just 1:34 left in the opening period with Katie Alexander getting credited with the assist. Prozinski pocketed another power-play goal early in the second period with Jessica Kooiman picking up the assist this time.
Alexander then supplied Jungels some insurance by scoring unassisted 3:52 into the third period.
Willmar outshot River Lakes 34-25 as Jungels finished with 33 saves. Willmar netminder Baylie Young made 22 saves.

The Cardinals are at Mankato West on Friday before returning home to host Marshall on Saturday.
