WILLMAR -- The Willmar Cardinals improved to 11-5-2 with a 4-2 win over Fergus Falls at the Cardinal Arena in Central Lakes Conference girls hockey on Thursday.
After a scoreless first period, Amelia Amon, Lauren Sing and Amon, again, put Willmar up 3-1 through two.
KyLee Hulscher scored at 13:57 of the third after the Otters had pulled to within one of the lead at 3-2.
Bailey Young played a strong game in net with 30 saves, pointed out Willmar coach Jason Mayer.
Fergus goalie Jordie Salwei also made 30 saves.
