BRAINERD -- Playing its fourth match in five days, the Willmar girls soccer team was outlasted by Brainerd Friday, 2-1 in double overtime, in a Central Lakes Conference match.
Brainerd (6-1-3, 7-2-3) got an early lead as the Warriors converted a penalty kick in the sixth minute. Willmar (4-6-1, 6-7-1) was shut out in the first half and got its only goal when Sara Kallhoff scored on a pass from KyLee Hulscher during the 62nd minute.
The match was scoreless for 25 minutes until Stacy Tetreault scored with three minutes remaining in the second overtime period for the Warriors.
