SAUK RAPIDS -- The Willmar girls soccer team dominated the action, but only tallied one goal in a 1-0 win over Sauk Rapids in Central Lakes Conference action Thursday.
The Cardinals (4-6-1, 7-6-2) outshot the Storm (1-9, 3-10) 25-8. Goalie Sara Kallhoff, filling in for injured starter Chelsey Wiershem, had six saves.
Karis Rogers scored in the 11th minute on a breakaway pass from Sam Thompson for the game's only goal. Thompson sent the ball through the middle of the Sauk Rapids defense, with Rogers picking up the pass and getting around the goalie to bury the ball in the corner.
