BENSON -- Another sweep allowed Benson/KMS to stay unbeaten as the Braves blanked Yellow Medicine East 7-0 Tuesday in West Central South Conference girls tennis.
Benson/KMS didn't lose a set en route to improving to 11-0 on the season. It was also the conference opener for both teams.
The Braves didn't lose a game in five sets and lost three-or-more games in a set only four times. Abby Fragodt won 6-0, 6-0 at 1-singles for Benson/KMS while Chelsey Goff-Cassie Johnson at 1-doubles, Ginger Breen-Hillary Wilts at 2-doubles and Datriana Jensen-Amber Leighton at 3-doubles each won a set by a 6-0 score.
Leiah Smolley came the closest to scoring a point for YME (8-7), but Sara Rajewsky prevailed 6-3, 6-4 in the 4-singles match.
