COLLEGEVILLE - The Litchfield duo of Kalley Spreiter and Kennedy Sommerfeld won their first two matches in straight sets Thursday at St. John’s University to advance to the semifinals of the Section 5A individual tournament.
Spreiter and Sommerfeld is the tournament’s No. 1 seed and will play in the final four on Monday starting at 10 a.m. back at St. John’s University.
The championship match is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
In singles, MACCRAY’s No. 5-seed Amber Wieberdink advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Annandale’s Sarah Grimm in three sets.
She will face Holy Family Catholic’s No. 1-seed Danielle Gannon in the semis on Monday at St. John’s.

She beat St. James’ Renata Hernandez in three sets in the quarterfinals and will play Redwood Valley’s No. 6-seed Ahnna Malecek in the semifinals on Monday at Gustavus Adolphus.
